Elite Friendship Tournament Thursday, December 04, 2008 On Dec. 13 Elite will host a Charity Event for our Team Mate Mike DeAses’ Medical Cancer Fund. All are encouraged to enter to raise funds for Mike, his wife, and 4 kids. For entertainment value and to raise more donations we have superfights: Robo vs Frost in a 30’s vs. 20’s match, Kight vs. Rivas in a bachelor vs. the old married man with kids match, and older than your grandpa Eric vs. multiple attackers will go to the highest bidder! Zoolander wins 30 sec in rnd1 with a KO head kick, Jace Pitre wins via triangle choke, and while Pete and Kurk didn't pull out wins they looked great. Kurk's rnd 1 performance was a dominating 30-27 round. Great Month in MMA Wednesday, November 19, 2008 In the past month Raul Jiminez and Matt "Lobster" Jenkins took quick first round victories representing Elite in MMA. This weekend K. May, P. Atama Open '08 Saturday, November 15, 2008 Elite MMA takes the 1st Place Team Kids Award and 2nd Place Team Overall Award in the Atama Open. Congrats to our team competitors. On a seperate note congrats to Chad Robo who while in Brazil was unexpectedly recognized with a Black Belt from David Silva Vieira / Gracie Barra, a huge compliment to Elite's ability! Welcome to Team Robo MMA. We are formally Elite MMA - The Woodlands and we are the premiere Mixed Martial Arts training academy in the North Houston region building athletes in The Woodlands, Spring, and Conroe. We offer World Class Instruction in martial arts and fitness! If your interests are Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Self-Defense or just getting into shape we have a program to meet your goals. What you will find most unique about or Academy is our team atmosphere focusing on safe, yet productive programs. Our facility is 5,000 sq. ft. with the very best fitness and training equipment to include an MMA training cage, boxing ring, private training room, pro-shop, lockers, showers, and 8'x10' movie theater for social events.

Everything I have focused on in training has been geared to competition and self-defense. Currently, I am an Undefeated Pro MMA Fighter, 2008 NAGA Champion, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and Traditional Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt. In addition to me, we have a phenomenal staff of world class instructors ready to train you; to include Daniel Kim- MTIA Champion and Muay Thai World Cup Bronze Medalist, Chad Kight-Self Defense Expert, Lewis Wood - 33-1 Pro Boxer / NABF Champion, and Carl Edwards-Fitness Trainer of Pro Athletes.

If Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of your interests we have the most credible lineage outside of Brazil. After a life of martial arts and practicing BJJ since 1996, I was promoted in Brazil to the rank of Black Belt under Professor D. Silva Vieira of Gracie Barra. Above Professor Vieira are only Master Carlos Gracie Jr. and his father, the founder of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Carlos Gracie. You will be getting your internationally recognized ranking from the source.

I truly love coaching MMA and BJJ, and keep instruction focused on practical and effective strategies. I believe each of us is put on earth by God to serve one another, as a servant to my fellow man I found a love in coaching. The positive impacts I have seen Jiu-Jitsu make in my own and my students lives are so rewarding I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I have and will always consider myself a student of martial arts and a teammate over a coach. I can say that each of the other coaches on our Team feel the exact same way.
