Striking has always been one of the most popular forms of combat sports. Our kickboxing program has had unparalleled success in competition and our classes are often packed with students of all experience levels. We teach a solid mix of techniques from Kickboxing, Muay Thai, boxing and Tae Kwon Do.

Our striking instructors, Matt Wald and UFC fighter Alex Morono, really break down the importance of defense with a vast comprehension of distancing and movement. Whether you’re interested in fitness, self defense or competition, the techniques taught in this program will prepare you for anything. We have a very active, positive group who is always looking to welcome new students and share our knowledge. We make sure to take care of our training partners and have many experienced students looking to help out. You only go as hard as you want.

Alex made his professional kickboxing debut in 2015, winning his match in just the 1st round by TKO. His opponent was the bigger fighter with a lot of KO finishes. Strategy and execution played a key role in the match as Alex and his coaches used counter kicks to keep his opponent from pressing forward, ultimately leading to the strike that won Alex the fight.

Our classes offer an excellent cardio work out and genuine self defense form a very technical stand point. Come in, have fun and try our program out, its never too late and no experience is required.

Unlike other forms of martial arts that focus on fancy punches, kicks and flips, BJJ focuses on self-defense techniques that provide real practical value when your child may find themselves in dangerous situations. Advanced Program

The Gracie Barra Program Structure defines three main stages of development for students: the Fundamentals Program, the Advanced Program and the Black Belt Program. These stages indicate different maturity levels and students transition from one to the other by their own natural progression.

While the Fundamentals Program focuses on the building blocks and basic principles of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the Advanced Program focuses on high-level techniques and drills that start shaping the student’s game flow through the development of reflexes, speed and reaction time as well as transitions between one technique and another.

After a few months in the GB Advanced Program, students typically experience a deeper involvement in GB’s philosophy, a stronger bond with training partners, and more discipline and commitment to healthy habits that keep them in good shape.

Advanced Program classes are based on a defined class structure and curriculum that take a broad and open-minded approach to incorporating techniques from different grappling styles like wrestling, judo, sambo, and of course, Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
